Houston is the fourth largest city in the U.S., so it’s no wonder it has much to offer to visitors. If you are coming to StratosFur and want to know what else you can see or do while in Houston, take a look below.

Houston Museum District (Learn More…)

     Houston’s museum District is home to 19 world-class museums dedicated to the arts, science, and culture.  Best of all they are all withing walking distance to each other and to restaurants.  Some of the most famous museums include: 

 

Houston Zoo (Learn More…)

     Located within steps away from the Museum District, the Houston Zoo deserves a special mention.  With a collection of over 6,000 animals spread over 55 acres, the Houston Zoo offers a wild and fun experience to delight people of all ages. 

     Must buy tickets online. 

Johnson Space Center (Learn More…)

     If you already don’t know, Houston has played an important role in the history of space exploration.  Built in 1962 Houston is home to the Johnson Space Center, which is dedicated for space flight training, flight control, and research.  

     Next to it, Space Center Houston offers an out of this world adventure with its exhibits, live presentations, interactive games, and even a tour of Rocket Park housing the Saturn V rocket. 

     Visitors can go inside the shuttle replica “Independence” that sits on top of the original NASA 905 shuttle NASA 905 shuttle carrier aircraft. 

Cidercade (Learn More…)

     For only a $12 admission fee, you can enjoy unlimited play on over 275 arcade games.  Located in East Downtown Houston near Minute Maid Park, Cidercade also has a bar with over 48 taps of hard ciders, kambouchas, seltzers, wines as well as a soda fountain so you can drink while you play. 

     While it doesn’t sell food, Cidercade does allow you to bring your own food and there are many food trucks nearby that offer tasty food that you can bring inside. 

     Cidercade is open to people of all ages, except after 8 PM when it becomes 21+ to be there.
