Do you have some questions? We have some answers! Here are the most frequently asked questions that we have received from many of our visitors along with the answers. We will continue to add to the list as we get more questions.
Will face masks be required for this con?
We will not be enforcing masking this year.
However, it is encouraged for our attendees to be mindful of others if they are feeling ill to cover their mouths and noses to reduce the spread of any and all airborne pathogens so that others do not get sick.
Do fursuiters need to wear masks as well?
We will not be enforcing masking this year.
However, if you are choosing to wear a mask, please be aware that fursuit heads with open jaws/mouths are not an effective way to reduce risk. A face covering would be recommended as a solution if you so choose to wear one.
Will taxes be included in the price of admission?
Yes. Taxes are included in the price of admission.
Is the schedule out yet?
We will announce when applications for panels and performances are open. Please follow our social media pages to get notifications.
What are the food options?
You’re in luck! Houston offers a wide variety of dining options from all around the world and for all tastes just outside the hotel. Please check out our “Dining Options” page for more details.
Are minors (under 18) allowed into the con? If so, what are your policies?
Yes. Minors under 18 are allowed into StratosFur. However, they must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Please review our “Parental Consent Form for Minors” document under the “Registration” page for more information.
If I'm not able to attend in person, will there be an online component to the convention?
Events taking place at the main stage, including opening/closing ceremonies and the dance competition, are currently planned to be streamed to Twitch this year.
